So Verizon sees your phone as the new TV set top box, by which they can cannibalize cable and satellite TV, control entertainment distribution in a whole new way, and get personal with advertising to a near absolute degree. What’s not to like? Unless you’re a customer.

We need to do more to expose this crap. That it’s equally typical and unconscionable (unless you’re a carrier) is no excuse for it.
